1. About This Consent

During classes, workshops, rehearsals, performances and other events, photographs and/or video may be taken by or on behalf of The C Word Burlesque.

Photographs and video in which you can be identified may constitute personal information. TCW therefore asks you to choose how identifiable images of you may be used.

For the purposes of this document, “TCW” refers to The C Word Burlesque and Townsville Burlesque.

2. Media Consent Options

FULL MEDIA CONSENT

I consent to The C Word Burlesque using identifiable photographs and/or video of me for both promotional and educational purposes.

Promotional use may include, but is not limited to:

  • social media accounts and pages associated with The C Word Burlesque and Townsville Burlesque;

  • websites;

  • advertising and promotional campaigns;

  • newsletters and digital communications; and

  • printed promotional materials.

Educational use may include:

  • teaching resources;

  • demonstrations;

  • class-related communications; and

  • sharing within private student or instructor groups.

PARTIAL MEDIA CONSENT

I consent to The C Word Burlesque using identifiable photographs and/or video of me for educational purposes only.

Educational use may include sharing with private student groups associated with The C Word Burlesque and/or TCW instructors for teaching, feedback, demonstration or other educational purposes.

I do not consent to identifiable images of me being used for public promotional purposes.

NO MEDIA USE

I do not consent to The C Word Burlesque using identifiable photographs and/or video of me for promotional or educational purposes.

3. Important Information

My media preference is voluntary and does not affect my ability to participate in classes, workshops, performances or other TCW activities.

I understand that images may be captured during activities where photography or video recording is taking place. Where reasonably practicable, TCW will take reasonable steps to respect my selected media preference.

I understand that where I have provided consent for an image to be used, the image may be viewed, copied, shared or retained by people who access the relevant material, particularly where it is published online.

I understand that I will not receive payment or other compensation for authorised use of my image.

4. Changing or Withdrawing Consent

I may contact TCW to change or withdraw my media preference for future use.

Withdrawal of consent does not necessarily require TCW to recall, destroy or remove material that has already been:

  • printed;

  • distributed;

  • published; or

  • copied by third parties outside TCW's control.

Where reasonably practicable, TCW will consider reasonable requests to remove digital material that remains under its control.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any use that occurred before the withdrawal.

5. Scope of Consent

My consent applies only to the purposes I have selected above.

TCW will not knowingly use my identifiable image for a different purpose requiring consent without seeking further consent where appropriate.
